Sept. 14, 1939 - Apr. 11, 2018 Robert Volk, 78, Fargo, died Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at Sandford Medical Center Palliative Care Unit, Fargo. Bob was born September 14, 1939, in Rugby, ND, the son of Stachius and Christine (Leier) Volk. He attended rural school and graduated from Rugby High School in 1957. He worked at the Rugby Creamery for several years. On April 17, 1961, he married his high school sweetheart, Myrna Geisinger. They moved to Fargo where he began work at Cass Clay Creamery where he retired in 2001 after 41 years as Forman of the ice-cream-mix department. Shortly after, he began working part-time at ADESA Auction. Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching his grandkids enjoy all their activities. He played racquetball at the "Y" for over 35 years. He is survived by his wife, Myrna; children: Mitch (Lisa) of Moorhead; Cory (Kathy) of rural Argusville; Michelle (Darin) Kraemer of Moorhead; five grandchildren: Brody (Erin) Volk; Leah Volk; Kyle and Chantal Kraemer; Eden Volk; one great-grandson; Landon Volk; brothers; Len (Ruth) of Corona, CA; Duane (Nanci) of Moline, IL; Clem (Jackie) of Devils Lake, ND; sisters: Judy (Ron) Berg of Minneapolis, MN; Vicky (Bud) Moore of Moline; and sister-in-law: Becky Volk. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Rita; and brother, Larry. Visitation was on Monday, April 16, 2018 from 1 2 pm at Wright Funeral Home in Moorhead, MN. Memorial service was Monday, April 16, at 2 p.m., in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN. A family interment was at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Moorhead.
