Family search says John Taylors wife was a Jane VANETTA b. jun 1818 in Ohio and married abt 1838 in Platteville, Grant, Wisconsin d. mar 1873 These dates all coincide with those of Sarah Jane Briggs so there is a gross error here somewhere? Following is a reply to a post I made based on the above information: My information on John Taylor & Sarah Jane Briggs comes from genealogy work done by Ruth KIES Taylor in 1985 as well as stories told to me and notes given to me by my father, F. Lowell Taylor (1907 1996).I don't know for certain of the accuracy of any of this but I have communicated with a Billie Taylor who has the same info. Billie is a descended from Isaac Newton Taylor (1851 1929), brother of Isom Taylor (1845 1888). Isom is my great grandfather and son of John Taylor (1809 1877) my 2nd great grandfather.I have Sarah Jane Briggs as John's first wife, married in Grant, WI in 1838, and Eliza McClain, whom John married in 1875 in Adair, Iowa, two years before his death.I have John Taylor's will. Here's something that may just be a coincidence: My grandfather Alfred Taylor (1870 1948) visited Iowa in 1895. He made notes which my father passed on to me. Grandfather Alfred noted that his aunt, Mary Taylor (1839 1865), daughter of John Taylor, married "Aaron Van Natta." Is it possible that your Vanetta and Van Natta are the same family?
