Alfred Bosch Sr, 78, of Linton died Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2007, at the Strasburg Care Center. Alfred Bosch was born March 4, 1928, on a farm southeast of Linton, the son of Anton W. and Elizabeth (Ell) Bosch. He attended country school. Alfred farmed with his parents. He married Rosina Meier on Nov. 5, 1958, at St. John’s Catholic Church near Zeeland. Following their marriage, they farmed southeast of Linton. He also worked for Linton Livestock for many years. They retired and moved into Linton in 1990. Alfred was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, an Honorary Lifetime Member of Knights of Columbus and a Beaver Valley Horse Club Member. He served on several boards and committees, including trustee at Sacred Heart Church, director and president of Well School, director and secretary of Linton Farmers Elevator, chairperson of ASCS of Linton, member and Vice President of Emmons County Wildlife Club and Beaver Valley Snowmobile Club. Alfred enjoyed bowling, hunting, attending auction sales, playing cards and spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Rosina of Linton; four sons and daughters-in-law, Alfred, Jr. and Karen Bosch of Linton, Francis and Terry Bosch of Tintah, Minn., Glenn and Debbie Bosch of Mandan and Ronald and Jenel Bosch of Linton; three daughters and sons-in-law, Betty Ann and Patrick Heidrich of Bismarck, Marilyn and Anselm Ternes of Mandan, and Luiza and Toby Schatz of Bismarck; 22 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; one brother and two sisters-in-law, Joseph M. and Mary Bosch of Linton and Victoria Bosch of Linton, and one sister and brother-in-law, Mary Alice and Mike Krumm of Bismarck. Alfred was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Katie Schwartzenberger and Tillie Bosch, and two brothers, Peter Bosch and Wendelin A. Bosch. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 6, 2007, St. Anthony Catholic Church, Linton. Celebrant was Rev. Gary Benz. Organist was Sue Schumacher. Song leaders were Diane Wangler and Vicki Martin. Special music was by Abbey Heidrich. Scripture readers were Kayla Bosch and Jodi Heidrich. Gift bearers were Brianna Bosch, Katie Schatz, Maria Heidrich, Samantha Bosch, Mattie Schatz and Lacey Bosch. Communion ministers were Jessica Martel and Betty Ann Heidrich.
