From the following daughters obit it looks like Ignatz was married twice. His
first wife dying young. Not having all the ages of his children, I do not know
which children belong to which wife.

SIOUX CITY -- Phillis Ann Nicolls, 66, of Sioux City went home to be with her
Lord and Savior on Feb. 7, 2011, after a long struggle with cancer.
Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Glad Tidings Lighthouse, with the Rev.
Michael Ring officiating. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. today, with a prayer
service at 7 p.m., at the church. Waterbury Funeral Service is in charge of

Phillis was born March 24, 1944, in Onaka, S.D., the daughter of Ignatz
Gabriell and Theresa Hoffert. She grew up in Onaka and moved to Sioux City at
the age of 16.
She married Dewayne Nicolls on April 20, 1963. She worked at Zenith Industries
for 13 years. She was later employed with Goodwill Industries as a group home
attendant and medication aid for more than 20 years.
She was an active member of Glad Tidings Lighthouse in South Sioux City.
Phillis always enjoyed spending time with her family and loved having her
grandchildren around. The highlight of her day was either seeing her
grandchildren or talking with them on the phone. Phillis also enjoyed
collecting angels.
Survivors include her husband, Dewayne Nicolls; two daughters, Theresa Ring
and her husband, Sean of South Sioux City, and Jaime Henry and her husband,
Clayton of Correctionville, Iowa; a son, Jeremy Nicolls of Sioux City; nine
grandchildren, Caleb, Noah, Rachel, Kaylie, Paige, Issac, Malaine, Devin, and
Kaid; two sisters, Mary Lentz and her husband, Norvel of Hartington, Neb.,and
Elizabeth Giesinger of Worthington, Minn.; and two brothers, Leo Gabriel and
his wife, Vi of Fort Pierre, S.D., and Lorance Gabriel and his wife, Dorie of
Harold, S.D.
Phillis was preceded in death by her parents; her infant daughter, Theresa
Ardith; sisters, Rose and Kate; and brothers, Tony, Frank, and Paul.

Rootsweb has an Emilia Gabriel b. 8 Jul 1893 in Klienliebenthal, Ukraine
married to Markus on 10 Oct 1960 in Aberdeen, SD.  Emilia died 13 Jan 1966 in
Aberdeen, SD. The children listed as Tony and Irene Strauss must have been
from a former marriage I would think
  Elizabeth Stauss' orbit lists Tony and Irene as step brother and step sister

Obituary reads:Emily is survived by her husband Markus Stauss, two sons
Joseph and Roy Kuntz, four daughers Katherine, Mrs. Amon (Jean) Reynolds, and
Mrs. John (Mary) Subee of Los Angeles, and Mrs. Frank (Magdalena) Lacher of
Aberdeen. Nine stepsons, Mike, Alex and Bernard Kuntz of Los Angeles; Martin
and Gus Stauss of Portland, OR, Wendell Stauss of Butte, MT, Andrew Stauss,
Devil's Lake, ND, Anton Stauss of Mesa AZ and John Stauss of Aberdeen. Six
stepdaughters, Regina Kuntz of Aberdeen, Mrs. Wesley (Eva) Kuntz and Mrs.
Allan (Betty) Richardson of Los Angeles, Mrs. Julius (Betty) Senger, Portland
OR, Mrs. Ingwald (Gertrude) Nelson, Dallas WIand Mrs. Irene Weller, Mesa AZ
survived Emily. There were 27 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and
three brothers, Eugene Gabriel of Strasburg, Adam Gabriel of Hague ND and John
Gabriel of Minneapolis MN. Two husbands, two sons, four daughters and one
brother preceeded her in death.
