Notes for Franz Anton HEINTZ

HEINTZ; Funeral Services for the late Frank Heintz who died Friday the 22 nd
at the residence of his son Robert F. Heintz of Tigard, Ore.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 8:45 am, May 25, 1925. Requiem High
Mass will be offered at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in
Tigard. Internment was in St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery.
Mr. Heintz, with his wife Elizabeth, came to the U.S. from Kandel, Russ in
Sept. 1888. Their first homestead was in McIntosh county in
the vicinity of Zealand, N.D. About 1896-97 the family moved to Wellsburg,
N.D. where they farmed. In about 1903 the family moved to
the Beinfait/Kingsford area of Sask, Canada. Mr. Heintz farmed in that area
until the early 1920's when the family moved to the Portland,
Ore area where Mr. Heintz and his wife Elizabeth retired.
Mr. Heintz was preceded in death by four children, Michael, Mathias, Frances
and Valentine. Survivors include his wife Elizabeth,
daughters Antonia, (Mrs Frank Wentz) Margaret, (Mrs Raphael Dukart) sons John
and his wife Stephina, Joseph and his wife Elizabeth,
Robert F. and his wife Elizabeth. There are many grandchildren who survive.
Jack Dukart mentioned the grandparents were well up in age when they came to
the Portland area, but were in fairly good health and
seldom sought medical help from doctors or
hospitals.
