Notes for Kasper KAMBEITZ


MR. KASPER KAMBEITZ, beloved husband of the late Mrs. Florence Kambeitz, passed
away peacefully at the Coaldale Health Care Centre, on Saturday, January 17,
2004 at the age of 92 years. He was born in Burdett, Alberta on July 22, 1911.
He became a farmer, later a mechanic for the Department of Highways in the
Crowsnest Pass. He held the position of Road Construction Superintendent for
the County of Lethbridge for 26 years. In 1933 he married Florence. Kasper was
the first Chairman of the Board of Trustees of St. Joseph’s School.
Every chance he got he was fishing or camping. He enjoyed his time as a member
of the Southern Alberta Rockhounds, making jewelry from the best of his
‘rocks’. He and Florence looked forward to their yearly trips to
Arizona. He is survived by his children: Bob (Brigitte), David, Dennis
(Marion), Greg, Patricia and Deanna (Richard); 14 grandchildren; 13
great-grandchildren; numerous nephews and nieces; and many friends. He was
predeceased by his wife Florence, brothers Leo and Engelbert (Bert), sisters
Agatha and Adeline and a son Matthew in infancy.
