Notes for Andreas KELLER

Most of my information came from my Aunt Ida (Keller) Fleck. She was 8 years
old when her father (Andreas) Keller was killed. At some point the family
moved to Sulz, where they lived with Barbara (Erck) Keller's brother, who was
Priest/Pastor of Sulz, Russia. His name was Ludwig Erck. From her childhood
and into her womanhood she remembers and heard of names and places. But she
was too young when they left Mandowo to remember dates etc.. She remembers,
before her father was killed (in the good years) They went to mass on Sundays
to Mannheim, that all the christenings and marriages were performed in
Mannheim. She remembers many visits to Strassburg to see relatives. She never
spoke of Elsass or Georgental and these two villages seem to be connected to
the Keller family before some moved on to Kellersheim (Mondrowo). She does
remember her grandfather Peter Keller's brother Severin and two of Severin's
sons, Adam & Pius who also lives in Kellersheim (Mondrowo). Severin may have
had more children, but these two are the only ones she remembers. As I count
myself as a beginner in genealogy I have a lot of trouble connecting the dots
with information I got out of books and Web-sites. The crosses next to names
are the names that I have plus the three names I added at the bottom of Item
# 1 that I have, but you don't.

Notes for Andrew KELLER

Married to Magdelina Hoegele, they had several children. He was shot in his
corral by the Russians, while he was protecting his cattle and other interests
during a communist takeover. Served in both world wars, not sure of which army
he served under. Story has it (Sister Mary Francesca Keller) that before he
was shot, he shot and killed two Russian soldiers in the incident.
