Theresa Bruner, 94, of Minot, formerly of Drake, passed away Friday, Sept. 28, 2007, at her home in Minot. Theresa Keller, daughter of Martin and Rosina (Heit) Keller, was born Feb. 13, 1913, on her parents’ farm near Blumenfeld, north of Drake. She grew up on the family farm and attended a nearby country school. On October 27, 1931, she was married to Frank P. Bruner at the Blumenfeld Catholic Church north of Drake. They made their home and farmed north of Drake until 1970 when they retired and moved into Drake. Mr. Bruner passed away on October 11, 2002. Theresa continued to live in Drake until moving to Minot in July of 2006. She was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church and Christian Mothers of Drake. She was also a member of the Drake Senior Citizens Club and the local Homemakers Club. Theresa enjoyed bowling in her earlier years and playing cards, especially pinochle. She is survived by her daughter, Eleanor Hoffer of Harvey; 4 sons, Richard of Albany, OR, and Dan (Rose), Kenneth (Florence) and Harold (Diane) all of Drake; 13 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Jack (Agnes) Keller of Albany, OR; and 1 sister-in-law, Theresa Keller of Velva. Theresa was preceded in death by her husband; 2 grandsons, Neal and James; 2 brothers; 4 sisters; and son-in-law, Donald Hoffer.
