Kasper Lipp, 90, Bismarck, died June 3, 2002, in a Bismarck care center. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Church of St. Mary, Bismarck, with the Rev. Paul Becker as celebrant. Burial will be held at 2:30 p.m. in St. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery, Strasburg. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Bismarck Funeral Home, with a rosary at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services at the church. Kasper was born July 21, 1911, in Strasburg, the son of Adam and Agatha (Keller) Lipp. He attended country school and farmed in the Strasburg area. He married Mary Unser in 1932 in Strasburg. Mary died in 1963. Kasper married Philippine Lipp in 1966. He worked for Haggert Construction, and in 1973 he retired from Northern Improvement. Kasper had been living at Edgewood Vista in Bismarck since April 2002. Kasper enjoyed playing pinochle, which he was very good at. He also enjoyed shooting pool and visiting with his friends. He is survived by his wife, Philippine; his stepchildren, Clara Lewis, Newbury Park, Calif., Jolene Jaeger, Poway, Calif., Tyrone Lipp, Cameron, Wis., and Kathy Landgren, Bismarck; his sisters, Kris Lockwood and Maggie McConnaughy, both of Canoga Park, Calif., Alvina Tichenor, Woodland Hills, Calif., and Sally Totten, Sherman Oaks, Calif.; and his daughter-in-law, Dorothy Lipp, Minot. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Mary Unser; his son, Lloyd Lipp; his stepdaughter, Phyllis Solmonson; three sisters; and four brothers.
