Dorothy K. Adam ⢠1927 - 2005 Dorothy K. Adam, 78, Minot, died Monday, September 12, 2005, in a Minot nursing home. Dorothy was born on August 7, 1927, in Berwick, ND, the daughter of Mike and Eva (Schwan) Volk. She was raised on the family farm in Berwick and attended Berwick School. She married Mike Adam on October 29, 1946, at Fulda Church, Fulda, ND. The couple lived on farm near Berwick for seven years before moving to Drake, ND. In 1956, the couple moved to Minot, where Dorothy raised her eight children. Mike died on September 15, 1987. Due to her health Dorothy entered Trinity Homes in Minot where she enjoyed many activities and made numerous friends. Dorothy's life was very active and full. She so loved taking care of her children, grandchildren, brothers, sisters and friends. She was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Minot. Survivors: son, Robert (Charlotte) Adam, Sacramento, CA; daughters, Linda (Bill) Osborne, San Antonio, TX, Diane (Jerry) Fredriksen, Barb (Randy) Landphere, Jeri (Robby) Novak, Dottie (Alden) Pederson, and Jackie (Murray) Kaeding, all of Minot; grandchildren, Kari Siedschlag, Carrie Damon, Tracey Rogers, Sara Heredia, Nick Adam, Jerry Fredriksen Jr., Jory Fredriksen, Jeb Fredriksen, Travis Landphere, Tolli Stratton, Lee Novak, Kelly Finke, Sally Eberle, Beth Pederson, Bonnie Weinreich, Adam Weinreich and Holly Weinreich; 16 great-grandchildren; brothers, John (Mary) Volk, Berwick, Peter (Joanne) Volk, Tumbridge, ND, and David (Diane) Volk, Garrison, ND; sisters, Barb (Frank) Kuntz, Rugby, ND, Theresa Adam, Minot, Alice (Edward) Kraft, Kansas City, MO; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
