Agathas Obit says her father was Joe Weigel yet others have her dad as Bernhardt/Barney/Ben Agatha Mitzel, 94, Bismarck, died Feb. 13, 2010, at St. Vincentâs Care Center. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16, at Cathedral of the Holy Spirit, Bismarck, with the Rev. John Guthrie officiating. Burial will be in St. Maryâs Cemetery, Bismarck. Visitation will be held from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Monday at Eastgate Funeral Service, 2302 E. Divide Avenue, Bismarck, where a prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Agatha was born April 30, 1915, at St. Anthony south of Napoleon, to Joe and Agatha (Marquardt) Weigel. She was raised and attended school in the Napoleon area. She married Dan Mitzel at St. Anthonyâs Church and they farmed in the Wishek area until 1953, when they moved to Bismarck. Agatha worked at St. Alexius for many years. Later, she worked at City Nursing Service and also at the North Dakota Department of Transportation. Agathaâs family came first with her. She loved family gatherings whether it was shopping with her daughters or playing cards with the family. She had many hobbies but above all loved bowling, golf and playing bridge. She is survived by three daughters, Dinah (Morris) Brynjolfson, Patricia (Dan) Faurie and Bernardine (Fred) Jordan; one son, Dan (Mary) Mitzel, all of Bismarck; as well as eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, as well as three sisters and four brothers.
